While everyone fashion lover is elated to have The Met Gala after 1.5 years, it felt different as this year's gala did not follow its legacy of falling on the First Monday of May. However, most of the looks were underwhelming, but the activism was more vital than ever.

Congresswoman AOC wore a floor-length gown designed by Aurora James, a Brooklyn based designer that had "Tax the Rich" scrawled on the back. The designer of the dress, Aurora James, told Vogue, "We can never get too comfortable in our seats at the table once they've been given."

Billie Eilish wore a gorgeous peach Oscar de la Renta gown only because they stopped using fur. "She said it was 'shocking that wearing fur isn't completely outlawed at this point in 2021,' telling the NYT, 'I'm honoured to have been a catalyst and to have been heard on this matter.' – republic world.

Cara Delevingne wore a Dior look that had 'Peg the patriarchy' written out in the front. Dan Levy, Megan Rapinoe, Nikkie de Jager all sported looks that supported the LGBTQIA+ community.

It was refreshing to see that fashion is being used to convey string messages, and public figures are getting more involved than ever. Earlier this year, Bella Hadid was seen in the pro-Palestine march. All these occurrences go to show that nothing is going to stop us from speaking up again.
